When Nothing Else Will Do

It's a good idea to keep a little bit of latex-free Theraband on hand.  Especially when you draw a smiley face in the middle of it.

When a student needs to strengthen those instrinsic hand muscles and other muscles related to hand strength just ask them to stretch the smiley face.

Varying arm positions help sustain the student's interest in the activity.

Love this idea as well. I wanted to share an adaptation I did for a child with poor grasp.

The class uses Q-tips to dip into glue for art activity. He is not able to hold the Q-tip well and falls out of his fingers often.

I took a hair roller (soft foam) and super glued a Q-tip inside of it. So the Q-tip is sticking out and it works really well. It's re-used each time but I made several.

If you ever wanted me to, I can send you the picture I took it. Thanks again for your blog!
